How to reach Fuzan
Fuzan is the Dragon General at the end of Umbral Sands progression and the final dragon obstacle before Kuldra. The confirmed order is:
- defeat the Black Knight Titan to open the gate into Umbral Sands;
- advance the Moon Garou and regional questline;
- reach the Fight Cave at the end of that questline;
- complete the required challenge and confront Fuzan.
Jagex describes the Fight Cave as repeatable after progression for additional rare materials and rewards. The exact route shown by the current objective marker takes priority over an Early Access walkthrough.
Desert preparation
Umbral Sands adds Sunscorch and quicksand. Prolonged exposure to sunlight applies Scorch and accelerates hydration loss. Use shade or shelter and travel at dawn or dusk when crossing the open desert. Refill hydration before entering the challenge; arriving already scorched wastes supplies intended for the boss.
The region supports Adamant weapons and armour, Yew ranged equipment, Red Dragonhide and Infinity Robes. Use the current tier for your chosen style rather than carrying several incomplete sets.
Fight Cave loadout
- repaired Adamant-era or equivalent gear;
- high-value food and sufficient drink;
- ammunition or runes for airborne and distant enemies;
- regional hazard protection required by the current route;
- spare durability and supplies for a repeatable endurance encounter, not just one target.
Jagex has not published a permanent wave-by-wave table in the cited notes. Do not plan around an unofficial wave count without checking that it matches version 1.0.
Fuzan combat priorities
Fuzan is a fire dragon. Treat broad breath and ground-danger telegraphs as movement checks: step out first, then attack during recovery. Keep a ranged option ready and avoid exhausting stamina during a safe damage window.
If the encounter shares Sunscorch pressure with the approach, manage hydration before it becomes critical. Defensive play is more efficient than trying to out-heal repeated fire damage after the meter is already compromised.
Rewards and the path onward
The Umbral Sands release connects this tier with Adamant, Red Dragonhide, Infinity and Vestige equipment, plus rare materials from the Fight Cave and Nightmare Crucible. Defeating Fuzan removes the last Dragon General from the road to Kuldra.
